4x The Hague

The Hague is one of the biggest cities in The Netherlands. It is located between Amsterdam and Rotterdam and full of hotspots. This weekend Laurens, my boyfriend, and I visited The Hague and discovered a lot of dimes.

#1 Food

Before Laurens and I started our The Hague hotspot trip, we had to full our stomachs and craved the typical dutch Kroket so we went to Blufje. We both ordered the Van Dobben kroket with bread and it was so good! If you want to try this delicious good, try it at Blufje! The Hague is full of little coffee- and lunch bars like Pistache café in the Prinsestraat! They have pretty good coffee and their food is to die for. Think about french toast, salads bagels etc. Another place to get good food is at the Yoghurt Barn. You know I am a big fan of the concept. The Barn in the Hague is really pretty and they also have a pretty terrace to enjoy the sun!

#2 Drinks

If you want to have coffee, you should stop by Kaafi in the Prinsestraat. They have several types of coffee beans and probably the best cake of The Hague! Another good coffee bar is Hometown Coffee&More located near the Buitenhof! Order a cappuccino and a fresh smoothie to go so you can go back to explore the city! If you want to skip the coffeebars and go straight to cocktails, you should go to Jamey Bennett! Here you can enjoy a cocktail on a real chesterfield. Fancy right? Besides cocktails they also serve great food and other drinks.

#3 Stores

As you can see in, a lot of the great places are located in the Prinsestraat. So are the pretty concept stores. One of them is concept store Collectiv. Here you can find the prettiest decorations, clothes and jewelry from 20 entrepreneurs and designers. They each come and sell their products once or twice a week in the store. You can also enjoy some fresh drinks in the pop-up bar inside Collectiv. Pretty cool to have drinks with friends and shop some original souvenirs. I immediately fell in love with all the minimalistic golden necklaces and cactuses!

#4 Hotels

We stayed at the ibis Den Haag City Center hotel during our trip to Den Haag. It is located in the heart of The Hague and close to all the stores, bars and restaurants. It is the perfect hotel to stay at for a city trip. We always like to go back to our room before dinner or when we buy a lot. So we can relax for an hour and drop off our shopping bags. The hotel also have a great bar to enjoy a glass of wine. Tip: order the nachos, so good! When we entered our room, we found our towels folded into a love swan!! So adorable! I had never seen it in real life and I find it very thoughtful! Also the room view was breathtaking! I love rooms with a city view and enjoyed it very much!
