Mook has been on my hotspot bucketlist since it opened a couple of years ago. I have always wanted to try their gorgeous pancakes and last week was finally the day!!
I only had a couple of hours before I left to The Hague last weekend. It was my first Saturday morning in Amsterdam by myself, so I took my camera and a my scarf and gloves – it is so cold right now in Amsterdam- and took the metro to Mook.
When I arrived at 10.30 in the morning it was quite busy but they still had some tables left. I got the pretty table by the window. When I walked in I also got welcomed by a girl, she was very kind and she served us that morning. She smiled the whole time and was very friendly to everyone. Great service! But let’s take a moment to appreciate the interior inside. GOR-GEOUS.
I immediately got the menu when I was seated. But boy, they have so many options. They even have savory ones, which I didn’t know. It was so hard to pick one, but eventually I found the ones I was really gonna like.
Guess what I ordered…. a chocolate pancake, ginger shot and carrot juice.
My pancakes arrived quite quick, which I like. You have a lot of places lately, where it takes forever to get some food. Here I had my food and drinks maybe within 10-15 minutes. I also really liked that I got my pancakes and drinks at the same time! Bonus points for Mook!
The pancakes were delicious and definitely worth a visit when you are in Amsterdam! They recently opened a new location in the city center, so now there are two places in Amsterdam to get the best pancakes! I know I will be going back soon to eat some more pancakes. Nothing but love for Mook!
